We made double arch pelmets for the Sitting Room. Very fashionable pelmets are still in much demand today.
Also known as Windsor Pelmets, we craft them to any size and shape.
Nowadays we craft pelmets using only top quality ply and pinewood.
Pelmets are an excellent way to encase a window and with black-out fleece lined curtains they help keep light out and heat in.
Where trims and braids are used on pelmets, Nicola hand sews every inch.
To keep the two rooms similar, we made Contoured Pinch Pleat Valances in the Dining Room.
We used Bullion Fringe in the Dining Room but Bobble Fringe in the Sitting Room; all from the same Trims collection.
Pinch Pleat heading on a Valance is beautiful but you have to be precise when measuring and making . We are...
Bullion Fringe is a traditional finish on valances. Modern trims today are utterly stunning when applied correctly.
Of course we also supplied the co-ordinating tie-backs, made in the same gilt threading as the bullion fringe on the valances and pelmets.
The Reception Hall which divides the two rooms has a Decorative Fanlight Arch feature in the architecture.
We made deep Six Inch Double Pleat curtains and used a 50mm diameter pole to carry it all off.
Again, matching Rope Tie-Backs on all the curtains; This time we used solid brass hold-backs to adorn them.
No room is complete without a cushion or two...
We were asked back to curtain a small and low bedroom window; this is what we came up with.
We ruched the fabric directly onto the pole so light would not pass between pole and curtain.
A formal stiffened, piped tie-back made in the same fabric. To close the curtain, simply release it from the tie-back.
