  Most of the bay poles we have seen these days are flimsy affairs which bend and droop at the corners. Usually they need multiple fixing points all along the pole and they can only use dreadful C- shaped "pass-over" rings which generally don't work. They certainly can't handle a pair of Eyelet curtains...
Worse still, sometimes they're just a cheap rail, dressed up to look like a pole!!!
